In 2017, Tervita (now Secure Energy) implemented the first version of TerraFlow's Surface Mapper (then called the Tervita Landfill Manager) to support their landfill filling requirements.

The system is designed to import a design suface file which defines the target elevations and angles for a landfill.  As the user moves across the area, be it walking or mounted to a bull dozer or other earth moving equipment Surface Mapper shows a continuous output of how much fill can be placed in the space, or how much needs to be removed to remain in design compliance.

Surface Mapper has subsequently being extended to support other applications where surface grading is critical such as irrigation systems and road work operations.
